Boys Don’t Cry

Boys Don’t Cry is an exploration of men’s mental health in Canada, the stigma around it, and debunking common myths or misconceptions surrounding the topic. This project includes an editorial piece written based on my findings and an interactive piece that further explores these misconceptions.

The entire project has a modern internet aesthetic with a touch of 30s in the form of my animated character; doughboy. This character is a representation of mental health stigma everywhere. The character represents how often we dismiss, hide, and mask these critical issues instead of bringing them into the light.
